Welcome to the Long Beach Class C Airspace Information Site

NOTE: THE OFFICIAL COMMENT PERIOD HAS CLOSED. ANY ADDITIONAL COMMENTS RECEIVED WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) held two fact-finding informal airspace meetings to solicit information from airspace users, and others, concerning the proposal to modify airspace in the vicinity of Long Beach Daugherty Field (FR Docket 2010-7652) by creating Class Charlie airspace. A review of all comments received was completed and as a result the original proposal has been amended.  To continue the outreach effort to the airspace users and the local community, two additional meetings were scheduled.

These additional meetings were held October 25 & 26, 2011 at the Long Beach Airport Holiday Inn. Additional public comment was heard, and additional comments have been received. The FAA is now reviewing the comments received to determine any future actions.
